Membership
Membership in SMJA is open to individuals meeting the conditions set out in the statutes and subscribing to the Declaration of Faith. The annual fee is CHF 50 (individual) or CHF 80 (couple) for full members, and CHF 30 (individual) or CHF 50 (couple) for associate members. The fee is due annually and remains payable even if membership ends partway through the year.

Event registration
Event registration is done via the forms listed on smja.ch. Where an event carries a participation fee, this is collected on-site via SumUp or Twint, or as otherwise communicated.

Refunds
Payments already made for an event are refunded only if the event is cancelled by SMJA, except in justified exceptional cases at the Committee's discretion.

Photos, video, and audio recordings
Photos, video, or audio may be taken at SMJA events. Where individuals are identifiable, this material is used only with the consent of those pictured. At the start of an event, attendees will generally be informed that recording may take place; anyone who does not wish to be recorded may say so. Consent may be withdrawn at any time for future use. Use of such material for journalistic purposes requires SMJA's prior written consent.

Liability
SMJA assumes no liability for damages arising in connection with participation in its events, except in cases of gross negligence.

Changes
The Committee may amend these terms at any time. The current version is published on smja.ch.
